OWNER AND DIRECTOR OF TRAINING AND SALES
Lindsey is a career horsewoman with 20 years experience in the industry. She has trained champions at most of the major horse shows in the US in all disciplines. In addition to her vigorous show schedule and training top young riders, Lindsey also focuses a great deal on importing top equitation and hunter prospects. She spends 4-5 weeks a year in Europe scouting horses for the US market.
Lindsey holds Degrees in Business and Psychology from Skidmore College. She has been a guest columnist for Equine Journal and Rate My Riding as well as having been an established clinician in both the US and Canada. Lindsey was a 2-time APAHA “Rising Star Award” nominee, ranked as one of Litchfield County’s top young professionals, and a guest speaker for the Centered Riding Symposium and Lendon Gray’s Dressage Fair.
Lindsey is deeply passionate about horsemanship, education, and quality instruction of any rider that has the will and desire to learn. She believes strongly that the bond between horse and rider is the key to personal development of young riders; she utilizes the platform of equestrian education to teach dedication, self-discipline, horsemanship, and life skills to her students that extend far past the horse world. In addition to a strong focus on equitation, she incorporates classical dressage, the European training system, and behaviorist theories from psychology to help riders understand how horses think and learn.
OWNER AND DIRECTOR OF RIDING SCHOOL
In addition to being co-owner of the business, Michele heads up the riding school, special programs, and summer camp for Halcyon. Michele holds a degree in Equine Science from Post University and has over 10 years experience teaching all levels of riding. Michele is immensely talented at introducing horseback riding to even the youngest of students. She has a rare gift for instilling passion, confidence, and riding skills in young riders as well as helping more mature riders re-gain confidence, sort through fear issues, and have a great time in the saddle. Her positive and patient nature is infectious and inspires her riders to come back week after week. Michele also plays an important role behind the scenes in business management.

TRAINER AND DIRECTOR OF TRAINING SERVICES HALCYON -NORTH
Michael has been a part of Halcyon's training program for three years and has become a much cherished team member. His incredible kindness and patience with the horses instill confidence in young and troubled horses. He is a favorite of clients for his fun, positive, and exuberant teaching style. Michael is especially great with adult riders and offers a weekly Thursday night Wine & Cheese night for his "ladies". Michael is also responsible for all training in CT while the Halcyon Show Team is in Florida. This allows Halcyon to keep running in the Northeast all winter long while many farms move to Florida in the cold months.
Kayla is Halcyon's barn manager, responsible for all daily organization, ordering, and physical therapy for our equine athletes. Kayla is an incredibly hard worker, always the first one to the barn in the morning and the last one to leave. She works alongside Cara in all aspects of the daily running of Halcyon, and they are an incredible team.
FACILITY, EQUIPMENT, AND PROPERTY MANAGER
Josh has been a member of the Halcyon team since he was 18 years old. Josh has grown into the "go to guy" for any possible issue on the farm. He manages all the farm equipment, fence lines, horse care...you name it, Josh can fix it. We are so lucky to have him! His fabulous attitude and work ethic make him worth his weight in gold to the Halcyon team.
Our head of accounting, Susan, works alongside Michele, Cara, and Lindsey in billing and administration for Halcyon. She is a great friend, resource, and also the mother of Gabby and Annie Fournier, Halcyon's own working students.
Halcyon believes strongly that horses aren't only for the privileged few who have the means and wealth to pursue their dreams. For this reason we offer a rigorous working student program offered to talented young riders who qualify. Here pictured are this year's Florida working students Gabby Fournier and Hayley Mairano.
